About Eastwood Kids Ministry Department
We are the children’s ministry of Eastwood Assembly of God in Stigler, Oklahoma. Originally it was just Sunday School at Tamaha Assembly of God. When our church moved to its current location in 1989, the children’s ministry expanded to children’s church and added puppets, object lessons, costume characters, and other things to excite kids about Jesus. Today, we use the old methods along with new technology to create a fun learning experience for kids to teach them about and bring them closer to Jesus. It’s our hope that everything we say, do, and post points kids to their loving Savior, Jesus Christ.
Our teachers carefully plan the lesson series they are going to use and customize and adapt the curriculum to their current students needs and attention spans. Our kids ministry staff believe that the bible, prayer and worship are key to a strong relationship with Jesus and show that in their personal walk with Jesus and teach that walk to their students. (Birth - 3 years) Open every service.
Our nursery provides a safe place where even the youngest kids can have fun and learn about God. Babies and toddlers will learn stories about God’s love and how much He cares for them. There are fun projects, playtime, and always there is Jesus time.

(3 years - Kindergarten) Sunday Morning.
The Beginners Class is for our preschool aged children. Using crafts, interactive object lessons, fun puppet characters, and solid bible teaching, kids will learn about God and His love while also doing activities that will prepare them for school.

(1st Grade - 4th Grade) Sunday Morning.
Our children’s church uses videos, characters, interactive object lessons, and solid bible teaching to teach children how to the most like Jesus they can be. Our staff works hard to provide the best answers to your child’s questions with truth straight from God’s Word.

Information below about our Mid-Week Class.
3 years old - 12 years old
Our midweek class is has a wide age range, but this challenges our older students to help with younger kids. This enriches the kids’ lives as they grow closer to one another as they grow closer to Jesus. At this time, this class is not doing a series, but has bible lessons as the teacher follows the Holy Spirit’s guidance as what the lesson should be.
We have just started a new Sunday school class for 5th-6th graders as they transition to our youth ministry. More information on this class along with its name will be coming soon.
